John Hardy Memorial Hike 2015

In 2015 Loved ones of John gathered at Torrey Pines Beach and walked to Bathtub Rock, a favorite surfing place of John, and finally laid his ashes to rest. His daughter Meagan is featured in the film. His ashes had traveled with her all these years until this special place was finally chosen to let him go.

John's grandchild Eden is in the first part of the film, held by her Great Grandmother Janet and her Daddy Matt, his grandchild Keira is featured with her Great Aunt Maria, with her Daddy listening to words about her grandfather John, with her Auntie Kelsi, in the walk with her Great Grandmother Janet to the Bathtub Rock, with her Mommy and Great Aunties, with prayer flags around her neck and on the walk back along the beach.

Flyfishing

Flyfishing, what can I say ...

Mark  with a nice December trout

December 2003

Mark and I made our annual trip to the Provo River, Utah for a day during December (to take a break from skiing).  We both caught 3 nice fish nymphing.

September 2003

On my most recent trip, I visited Northern California with Mark.  We fished East Creek in the Southern Warner Wilderness-

Lots of small Redband Rainbows on Black Ants and Buggy Caddis (though they were quick and hard to set); nymphed the upper Pit successfully with Caddis Pulpae; caught several nice Rainbow on the Hamilton Branch with a Brassie Soft-Hackie I made-up; and, did well on upper Goodrich Creek with a Stimulator as a Hopper.

Late August, 2003

I spent four days fishing Yellowstone National Park.  I did very, very well on the lower Soda Butte with Soft Hackles.  I was pleased with my efforts at the Second Meadow of Slough Crteek on a emerging Green Drake Pattern and a caddis Pupae pattern.  I suched at Cascade lake trying to get a Grayling.  And, I was on and off on the Lamar: off with the obvious  Hopper patterns, but enjoyed throwing the emerging Green Drake pattern.  (Also suched on the upper Soda Butte no matter what I did).
